LJMU Moving Forward Together

This week we have taken a step forward in our recovery plan with the restricted opening of a small number of LJMU buildings.

Colleagues from Estates and Facilities Management have introduced new cleaning and maintenance procedures to ensure we can use the buildings safely.

The buildings are only open by prior arrangement to staff and students on an approved list agreed by faculties. Nobody else is authorised to enter those buildings at this stage – everybody else should continue to work from home until invited to return.

We have adapted how these buildings are being used during this first phase of our recovery. For instance, Aldham Robarts Library cannot be used as a library in accordance with government guidance, so we have repurposed it as a workspace for postgraduate students.

We have developed a dedicated microsite where you can find out more information about how we are working to fully and safely reopen the university in the coming months.
